Frank S. Kelly scrapbook
The collection contains a scrapbook created by Frank S. Kelly documenting his graduation from Blakely High School and involvement in a number of student activities at West Georgia College including his role as editor of the 1937 Chieftain yearbook. The collection also contains a memoir by Kelly on DVD which details his life in Blakley, Georgia, and his World War II experiences as a captain in the 7th division of the Army serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Susan Hayward collection
A collection of materials related to the life and career of Susan Hayward, an Academy Award-winning actress of the mid-twentieth century. Her career spanned several decades, from the 1940s to the 1970s.
Irvine S. Ingram papers
Public and private papers of the second principal of the Fourth District Agricultural and Mechanical School in Georgia, who then became the first president of West Georgia College. His term as the first president of West Georgia College lasted from 1933-1960.
Talmage M. Martin papers
The papers of Dr. Talmage "Mac" Martin, a retired Carrollton physician originally from Bowdon, consist of oral history recordings and photographs relating to his two volume work,WWII: Ordinary Heroes. The 87 audio cassettes of oral histories, along with accompanying photographic portraits and veteran's files, provide a detailed picture of the service, emotions, and experiences of World War II veterans from our region.
Mount Zion United Methodist Church (Carroll County, Ga.) historical collection
A collection compiled by the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, primarily by community member and past mayor, Jack Dorsey. Materials cover areas such as Mount Zion Seminary, Mount Zion city history, Dorsey's mayoral papers, and regional history.
