"Pilot" refers to the riverboat pilots of that time who represented leadership and guidance. (https://www.pilotinternational.org/our-history). The mission of Pilot International is to "influence positive change in communities throughout the world" by coming together in friendship and giving people an outlet for service. (https://www.pilotinternational.org/our-mission).

Pilot Club of Carrollton was chartered in 1945 and sponsored by Pilot Club of LaGrange (see Box 10, Item 1). It continues its service to the Carrollton community to this day. https://www.facebook.com/Pilot-Club-of-Carrollton-Georgia-157439501006325/
