Biographical / Historical
The Irvine Sullivan Ingram Library was dedicated on May 25, 1980, under the presidency of Maurice Townsend of West Georgia College. Until this dedication, the building, constructed in 1968, was referred to as the Library. The college's library was formerly housed in Sanford Hall and was referred to as Sanford Library.

Charles E. Beard papers
Charles E. Beard was the Director of Libraries at West Georgia College from 1978-2004. During this time Beard was a great advocate for libraries and was a part of many organizations on both the state and national level. One of his greatest accomplishments was helping to create the GALILEO system.
