Sidney Holderness Sr. (1864-1939) and his son, Sidney Holderness Jr. (1899-1974). The materials were found during the 2014 renovation of the Stallings Building (previously the Holderness Building) at 201 Newnan Street in downtown Carrollton.

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church records

Overview St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Carrollton, Georgia, began as an "unorganized mission" in 1892. Over the next sixty years, it remained the smallest religious organization in Carrollton until the late 1960s when St. Margaret's reached "Full Parish Status." The Kennedy Chapel, originally the Episcopal Church on West Avenue, was bought by the Catholic Church and later donated to the University of West Georgia where it was dedicated to the late President John F. Kennedy in 1964.

Ruth Rooks Sutton notecards

Scope and Contents note This collection contains thirty-five note cards with information about the Bonner family of Carrollton, Georgia. They were created by Ruth Rooks Sutton for a paper in high school in 1956-1957. She sent them in a letter to her aunt, Ila Rooks, who then sent them to Charles Beard at the University of West Georgia. Ila Rooks was related to James C. Bonner through her mother's side of the family. Both of these letters are in the collection as well.
