Biographical/Historical note
The department of education doctoral program encompasses programs targeting both academic learning and physical education. The University of West Georgia’s program continues to this day. Outlined by the newsletter, Gatherings, the program offers scholarships to future educators. It also provides leadership opportunities for the students. The handbooks are intended to provide guidance and a checklist for doctoral students as they progress through the program.
