The Field Psych Trust collection was donated in 2006 and contains doctoral dissertations collected by Arthur W. Combs. They outline the relationship of perceptual psychological theory to effectiveness in the helping professions, such as teaching. According to Anne C. Richards, “The Trust honors the professional life and contributions of Dr. Arthur W. Combs who was a psychologist/educator who spent his professional career establishing, refining, researching, and implementing a theoretical position known as Perceptual (Field) Psychology”. The organization provided funding to encourage graduate student research within the field.
