Biographical/Historical note

Jonathan R. Anderson joined the University of West Georgia in the fall of 2004 and throughout his fifteen-year tenure served the Richards College and UWG in a number of capacities. He moved through the ranks from Assistant (2004-2008) to Associate (2008-2013) to Professor of Management. He also served as Associate Dean of the Richards College of Business (2005-2009), Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (2010-2011), Deputy Provost (2011-2014), and UWG’s accreditation liaison with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (2009-2014). Anderson was honored with the Richards College of Business "Excellence in Teaching" award in 2005 and 2015 and the College's "Excellence in Service" award in 2016. In December 2017, he was named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs for Middle Georgia State University.
