This collection contains minutes, membership list, charter, and other materials.

The collection also includes information about the founding member of the Old Carroll County Historical Society, Irvine S. Ingram, who was also the first president of West Georgia College. Ingram occasionally taught Carroll County history as part of the Continuing Education program at the College.

In addition, the collection contains personal and professional correspondence to and from Ingram, topics of discussion for the society, such as the grave of General William McIntosh, and the society by-laws and application for charter.
