File — Box: 305, Folder: 2
Scope and Contents note
From the Series:
Barr introduced a bill titled The Citizens' Protection from Violent Crime Act of 1995 (designated as HR. 1488), which would repeal the ban enacted in the 1994 crime bill on semi-automatic firearms and large-capacity ammunition-feeding devices. It would also repeal all references to semi-automatic firearms in federal gun crimes, stating that "the only true effect of gun control laws is to disarm citizens who have no intention of harming others, except in the course of self-defense." This task force was also known as the "Second Amendment Task Force."
