Scope and Contents
The Carroll County Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) collection contains documents and other records generated by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and other public officials, the Center for Disease Control, the Georgia Department of Public Health (District 4), the Carroll County Board of Health, Tanner Health Systems, the Carroll County Health Department, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners, Carrollton's Mayor and City Council, the Carroll County Court System, the Solicitor-General's Office for the State Court of Carroll County, the University of West Georgia, churches and other local establishments, the media, and individuals. Materials include Governor Kemp's executive orders, city and county state of emergency orders, a timeline of the epidemic in Carroll County (March-May 2020), judicial orders, newspaper articles, press releases, public notices, reports, flyers, minutes and agendas, website screen shots, social media posts, newsletters, guides and protocols, photographs, PowerPoint slides, tracking spreadsheets, poetry and original artwork, a journal, and response pieces.
